The 2014 ANSI standard recommends that water should be between 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit. Water temperature higher than 100 degrees fahrenheit can enhance chemical interaction with the skin and eyes while water temperature less than 60 degrees fahrenheit can cause hypothermia.
