Rick Kaletsky

Rick Kaletsky is a safety consultant whose career in safety consulting began in 1992. He specializes in hazard recognition and abatement, site inspection, accident investigation, and citation resolution. Before his consulting work, he spent 20 years with USDOL/OSHA and frequently served as Acting Area Director. Rick has taught occupational safety and health at the undergraduate level at the University of New Haven, Mitchell College, and Housatonic Community College, and at the graduate level at the University of New Haven. He also served as a faculty member of the National Business Institute, the Institute of Business Law, and the Council on Education in Management. Rick has more than 400 articles, columns, and Q&As published in outlets including The Safety Compliance Letter, Occupational Hazards magazine, Occupational Health & Safety magazine, Industrial Safety & Hygiene News, OSHA Up To Date, and special supplements of Business & Legal Reports. He has delivered approximately 300 presentations to schools, labor groups, corporations, management groups, associations, insurance groups, and other organizations. He authored OSHA Inspections: Preparation and Response, which provides an insider's perspective on preparing for, responding to, and working through an OSHA site inspection.
