Based on the OSHA standard 1910.157, there is no strict requirements for the fire extinguishers safety signs, except than the requirement for easy identification. The NFPA Code 10 does, however, require fire extinguisher signs to be mounted near the fire extinguisher and high enough to be seen from a distance and not be obstructed by objects, opening doors, people, etc.
