- LOTO starter kit
This kit is the perfect starter pack to begin locking out equipment safely and securely. Each order comes packaged ready to perform basic LOTO procedures right out of the box and contains:
Red Canvas Bag
This zippered bag is brightly colored, easily identifiable, and appropriately sized for the accompanying kit. It can easily hold all devices in the kit while leaving a little extra room to accommodate a few small items.
Circuit Breaker Lockouts
These clamp-on devices are made out of nylon, making them durable and non-conducting. The lockout can be applied without special tools and integrates a lockout point into the device itself. These devices are ideal for handling single breakers or wall switch toggles.
Universal Multi-Pole Breaker Lockouts
These lockouts fit most modern single and multi-pole circuit breakers and will isolate the device either individually or in a multi-pole configuration. The device can be deployed without tools, has an integrated lockout point, and is manufactured from durable non-conducting nylon.
Medium-Sized Electrical Plug Lockout
This lock will easily fit most 110V up to 125V plugs. This lockout is likely too small for 220V plugs, which requires a larger size. The thermoplastic shell is durable enough to stand up to water, weather, and corrosive chemicals while still effectively isolating the plug. There are two lockout points built into the shell of the device for ease of use.
These locks are non-conductive and corrosion-resistant thanks to their thermoplastic uni-body design. The locks come with unique serial numbers printed on both sides for easy identification. All locks come with one key per lock.
The cylinder is solid brass and has a key retaining feature that ensures that users won’t be able to remove the keys until the lock is engaged. Meanwhile, the shackle is made of stainless steel and is 1.5 inches (38 mm) wide to accommodate most lockout applications.
This kit includes three different lockout hasps. There is a smaller steel hasp with a 1-inch diameter jaw, a larger one with a 1.5-inch diameter jaw, and one nylon plastic hasp. The jaws are made of chrome-plated steel for durability. The nylon handles, meanwhile, are non-conductive, non-binding, and allow one to six padlocks to be used at once.
Writeable Lockout Tags
These tags have been specifically designed for safety. The tags can be labeled with specific information for the hazard and the employee working on it. Each tag is made of 32-mil thick vinyl, making it rip- and tear-resistant, waterproof, weatherproof, and corrosion-resistant. The bold red and white pattern, as well as the ‘Danger’ ‘DO NOT OPERATE’ labels, make the tags easily visible and identifiable.
Heavy-Duty Zip Ties
These ties can be easily attached by hand, but they won’t be as easy to untie. They are self-locking, non-releasable, non-reusable, and will need more than 50 pounds of pressure in order to be unlocked.
